David Spence

David Spence is well known in the internet/communications industry both in Australia and New Zealand, with a breadth
of experience, management style and vision for the future that has seen him rise to the top of his profession.
David has been CEO of ubowireless since its inception and is concurrently CEO of Unwired, one of the world's largest NLOS wireless broadband carriers, of which ubowireless is a part.
In 1995, he oversaw the spectacular fortunes of ISP OzEmail as MD, then COO and then CEO during the internet's stellar boom of 1995 - 2000.
During his career David has held various board positions including Chairman of Vertical Markets Pty Ltd, Access 1 Ltd, Emitch Ltd and has been a Director of Commander Communications and Internet company WebCentral and is a past Chairman and current Director of the Internet Industry Association (IIA).
David has a commerce degree and post graduate qualifications from Natal and Cape Town Universities (South Africa).
